Some one asked me today if I was doing any more haikus. I was suddenly inspired and here are four of them. I’ve been learning about resilience over the past couple of days at a conference so that’s what this little sequence explores. Hope you enjoy it.
Vast waves beat the shore
Seconds, minutes, hours flow
On and on we go
Each one tears resolve
Mocks our dreams and blinds our hope
Leaves us all to grope
But in that clutching
We find our true selves anew
Power to abide
To suffer what comes
To live on and love what’s real
Souls refreshed each time
You can see my YouTube performance of it here…
Thanks for reading,
Richard
