Yesterday was the 10th anniversary of the day I met my wife. These have been the best ten years of my life and I wanted to mark the occasion with a few words.
Bury my face in golden hair
Feel her arms encircle me
Be removed from chill of air
My soul cleansed; made all anew
Her warmth and love know no compare
A heart so vast and true
That I could pause; endlessly stare
Allowing that peace my being to imbue.
I struggle to be worthy
Of that beauty and that care
The fathomless depths of love she has
That house my heart entire
And this I promise for my part
That I will always try
To live the dream she made in me
And walk with her ‘neath any sky
Happy Anniversary honey. Xx
