A trip to MCM Comic Con London

Hi everyone,

Half term has begun and I got the chance to go up to London for my first ever Comic Con. I thought I’d share some of the pictures. ExCel London was a great venue and I had no idea just how big this event would be. It got busier and busier throughout the day. The little one and I had a great time looking at all the cosplayers.

We also got to meet Jason Mewes, the non-silent half of Jay and Silent Bob, and get a picture. That’s Brian O’Halloran from Clerks in the background but I couldn’t afford both.

There was all sorts of stuff to do, like practising your light sabre duelling.

Or going for a spin in the Tardis

People put loads of effort into their costumes, like this bunch of DC characters.

and the X-Men here.H4050002

These two stood out wherever they wentH4040003

This guy looks pretty much like Keanu Reeves even without the John Wick costume.

Exterminate!!

Apparently the rest of the crew were here, but I only saw Ripley (with Jonesy of course)

Kylo and I were unsuccessful in trying to force choke the kind lady who took this picture for me.

and the little one was fascinated by Boba Fett.H4030008

It’s a huge place with loads going on, so you work up an appetite.

After lunch, we saw Skynet at work

And a few others

I have no idea who this guy is supposed to be, but he looks the business.

It was all too much for some

And there were even some re-enactments of famous scenes

Queen Amidala was having trouble making it from one end of the place to another. Every ten feet, someone would stop her and ask for a picture.

H4030002

The Horror Channel were there, and I got this picture done of us haunting ourselves

My little padawan found something to read

Then I couldn’t resist getting this picture. Maybe one day when I’ve published the book, I’ll get to sit here for real!

We had a lovely day. It’s great to see so many people celebrating what they love.

Cheers for reading,

Richard
