As you know if you follow this page, I’m a big fan of David Lynch and Mark Frost’s Twin Peaks.

When I wrote an article about the new series, I was lucky enough to be invited on the Obnoxious and Anonymous YouTube channel to talk about it.  The man behind that channel is Cameron Cloutier, and he is working on a project that I thought I should tell you about.  Cameron is a veritable encyclopaedia of information about the film industry and has been, like myself, a fan of Twin Peaks since the very beginning. When I say the man knows his stuff, I am not exaggerating. Where I consider myself to be quite knowledgeable on the subject, he takes that to a whole new level.

Anyway, he’s got an idea for a fan film that he’s going to try and make a reality and I wanted to support him in this. As I’ve found out myself over the past couple of years, there’s no greater feeling than when you have a creative impulse and decide to run with it.  That first moment when you drop the doubts and say to yourself, “I will make this happen.” is the most liberating feeling in the world.

Hey everybody, this is Cameron from Obnoxious and Anonymous and I’m here with a very special announcement.

As some of you may or may not know, I’ve been flirting recently with the idea of finally making my “Twin Peaks” fan film.

Over the last several months I’ve seen a number of other “Twin Peaks” related fan films and I honestly really like what I’ve seen. However in seeing that material, it brought back a hunger that I’ve been wanting to satisfy for 25 years now—and no, a Snickers bar is not going to help this time.

You see, back in the fall of 1992, when I was just 16 years old (and admittedly, getting over a breakup of a fairly serious “high school relationship”), I came up with several ideas for the “Twin Peaks” universe that over time I would converge and mold into one enthralling, pretty epic storyline— should I ever get the amazing opportunity to make a “Twin Peaks” related movie.

Now with the internet, equipment being more affordable and the rise of fan films, I feel now is the time to not only finally make my “Twin Peaks” film but to be able to do it properly.

Now those of you who have been watching me talk about “Twin Peaks” for the past 5 years online can definitely attest that whether or not you agree with me on certain points, my love for this world and its storytelling is as big as it can possibly be. I’ve been a enthusiast of Twin Peaks since it began and was a David Lynch fan long before the pilot even debuted.

I’m going to be honest. I can’t do this without you so when you see the announcement (and later crowdfunding campaign) come across your newsfeed, please share it, retweet it, get the word out there.

You got a website or blog site, let your fans know.

If you have a podcast or Youtube channel and want to talk about it and “Twin Peaks”, invite me on.

Anything you can do to help this non profit, fan film take flight will be much appreciated by me. It will also help me gage how much interest there is for this project overall and that in itself is very important.

So let me just say in advance, thank you for helping to move the project a step closer in getting made and for all the kindness and love you have already shown myself and this channel. I really do appreciate each and every one of you.

But one person in particular, I need to give a shout out too. As some of you again, may or may not know, my fan film revolves partly around the character of Annie Blackburn.

Now before Mark Frost’s book “The Final Dossier” came out, I started to begin to worry that the film I’ve always wanted to make would now never see the light of day because it would then be going up against the canon that he was now setting up.

Thankfully, that’s not the case—but there were a few weeks there where I honestly thought, man, I shouldn’t have waited 25+ years to make this fan film because now my story won’t sync up with theirs.

And it was during this time that a viewer named Milly reached out and said she had a gift of encouragement for me—and I have to say that it was this amazing present that helped cement my thoughts about whether or not it was now time to make this film.

Cameron’s extensive knowledge of, and love for, Frost and Lynch’s world of Twin Peaks means that I myself am really looking forward to what he has in store.
