I happened to have a bit of time and came up with these. Lacking inspiration, I chose random words out of books on a shelf, wrote them down on lines one under the other, then made lines out of each them. This was the result. I’ve HIGHLIGHTED the individual words that I started with: don’t ask me why I chose them – just leapt off the page.
Prisoners mumble in the halls,
Words never understood,
Broken necklaces that shed their pearls,
From panic in the grasping,
Racing towards places out of reach.
Can you face the search?
Can you bear to speak,
If every word just fades or runs,
Spreading nervous breaths?
BIG BAD WOLF
He’s really fast,
Pretend I haven’t seen him,
Shot right through,
Suppose I’d better explain,
Crossing my fingers,
Too true to be good,
What’s wrong with me?
Wolves and girls should never work together,
Enough’s enough, something to keep me busy,
All the crumbs,
Home, exhausted,
Bat the hand away.
Thanks for reading,
Hope to see some of you in Staines tomorrow evening.
