Day 27
Best Break Up Scene
My nomination for today’s award goes to one of my favourites of all time, The Maltese Falcon (1941). At the end, Humphrey Bogart’s Sam Spade sends his lover, played by Mary Astor, off to prison despite being in love with her. He won’t risk playing the ‘sap’ for her. A great scene in a film that’s just chock full of great scenes.

One day left.
Cheers and see you tomorrow,
Richard

Gut bacteria are an important component of the microbiota ecosystem in the human gut, which is colonised by 1014 microbes, ten times more than the human cells. Gut bacteria play an important role in human health, such as supplying essential nutrients and synthesising vitamin K. Dysbiosis (imbalance) of the gut bacteria communities can cause many chronic diseases, such as inflammatory bowel disease, obesity, cancer, and autism (Zhang et al. 2015; Impact of gut bacteria on human health and disease)
