28 Days of Love on Screen – Day 5 – Best Date Scene

Day 5

Best Date Scene

No question in my mind on this one, but it could be any number of scenes from this film. It’s the Farrelly brothers’ 1998 comedy, There’s Something About Mary. There are so many memorable dating scenes from this film that I found it hard to choose one. it could have been the prom date at the beginning (franks and beans!) or one of Matt Dillon’s scenes; my favourite being playing ‘touch’ football (exceptional, my a**). In the end I’ve gone for the end of Ted and Mary’s date when they return to her place and face the maddened, drug-crazed little dog, Puffy. This scene has me in stitches every time I watch it and that’s why it’s my most memorable date scene.

Cheers and see you tomorrow,

Richard

Gut bacteria are an important component of the microbiota ecosystem in the human gut, which is colonised by 1014 microbes, ten times more than the human cells. Gut bacteria play an important role in human health, such as supplying essential nutrients and synthesising vitamin K.  Dysbiosis (imbalance) of the gut bacteria communities can cause many chronic diseases, such as inflammatory bowel disease, obesity, cancer, and autism (Zhang et al. 2015; Impact of gut bacteria on human health and disease)
